Roots are Down
Hello, hello! My apologies for being quiet, I've been settling in here. I figured today would be the best day to post because it is pretty much the first day of me being completely alone. Said goodbye to the fam earlier and well, it went just about as you expect... Tears and the last desire for them to take me with them. It is was it is though. This is life now and I've come to accept that slowly throughout the day.
My flat mates are pretty cool. There's only one guy that none of us really like but besides that we're all on the same page. And let me tell you, when it rains in Scotland, IT RAINS. We spent two weeks here with sunshine and rainbows. Not a single drop fell from the sky but the 2nd day in my flat and a monsoon came down upon us. No word of a lie, our flat flooded. Water began flooding in through the back door and we all went running outside to go get our supervisor. Next thing we knew, roofs were apparently falling across campus, people were scrambling to evacuate a restaurant
and we were moping and damning up our kitchen. We got the best of it though, compared to others. But the night went on until almost two in the morning and none of us could actually get a good night sleep due to the fact that we were all afraid that rain was going flood in through the roof. It didn't know though, so we all lost a good night of sleep with no meaning whatsoever. But so far it has been pretty good. I've got my eye on some clubs here at school. I think I'm going to go to the true crime club or maybe the creative writing club.
But the pictures I have gotten here are insane, seeing what the country looks like is fantastic. Everything is so old and from our dorm we can see the Wallace monument. I think after everything, the Wallace monument is my favourite. It's just so big and seeing it everyday when I walk around campus is just so amazing. I cannot express how happy I am to be here but deep down I am still scared.
One good thing is that I think I have a job lined up? It's not
